Shakespeare court renaming day
On July 28th we held a special event at our home to celebrate the renaming of Shakespeare Court, now officially known as Chestnut Lodge, the name chosen by residents after a unanimous vote. We were honoured to have the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Martin Lowe attend the home and chat with residents and staff.
A great day had by all
Shakespeare Court is now called Chestnut Lodge after the new name was chosen by the home’s residents following a unanimous vote. Residents celebrated the day at the Butler Street East, Barkerend, site with a party with their friends, family, community – as well as a VIP guest, the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Martin Love.
“It was lovely to see the Lord Mayor take the time out of his day to chat with residents and staff.”
Comfort Chibuye, Manager of Chestnut Lodge
Recent refurbishments to modernise and refresh the home were shown to guests in attendance on the day.
